Baccarat is the oldest of all games played in modern casinos. The objective of the game is to predict whose hand, the Banker's or the Player's, will be closer to the value of nine. The higher hands wins. If a hand's total is greater than 10 then only the last digit is used (e.g. a six and a nine have a value of 5) Each hand will contain either two or three cards. If the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker are equal to five or less, then the respective hand will be dealt a third card. If either the player and /or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9, they both stand. This Rule overrides all other rules. The value of a hand is calculated by adding up the value of the cards. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. Once the winning hand is determined the game is over. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
