Before the hands are dealt, you
must place your bet on either the “Player” the “Banker” or the “Tie”
bet. If the hands tie, and you did not bet on a Tie, your bet is returned to you. It is often quite large and can have seating for as many as twelve people. If the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker are equal to five (5) or less, then the respective hand will be dealt a third card. There are three types of bets: Bank Bets, Player Bets and Push Bets. The first pays if the Bank Hand wins, the second if the Player's Hand does, the last if both hands push or tie. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. The winning Baccarat hand will be the one with a value closest to nine. The value of a hand is calculated by adding up the value of the cards. Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column. Once the winning hand is determined the game is over. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
