Baccarat is a card game played with a single deck of cards. Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
