Baccarat is a game of chance and skill between you and the Banker. Once the bet is placed, the "Player" and "Banker" are each dealt 2 cards. If the value of the hand is ten points or more, subtract ten, and the remainder is the baccarat point value of the hand. Cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. You can also bet on the
possibility of a tie. If a hand's total is greater than 10 then only the last digit is used (e.g. a six and a nine have a value of 5) Cards are dealt from a shoe that holds 6 decks of cards. There are three types of bets: Bank Bets, Player Bets and Push Bets. If either the player and /or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9, they both stand. This Rule overrides all other rules. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. Aces are worth 1 point. All other cards are counted at face value. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
