Baccarat is a game of chance and skill between you and the Banker. Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. The hand which is closest to 9 wins. Traditionally, the shoe contains anywhere from six to eight standard 52-card deck without jokers. If a hand's total is greater than 10 then only the last digit is used (e.g. a six and a nine have a value of 5) Cards are dealt from a shoe that holds 6 decks of cards. If the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker are equal to five or less, then the respective hand will be dealt a third card. Player's Hand Wins: 2x the bet. The winning Baccarat hand will be the one with a value closest to nine. All other cards are counted at face value. Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
