In Baccarat two cards are dealt to each of two hands, called the Player Hand and the Bank Hand. Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. The hand which is closest to 9 wins. To place a Bet simply position the cursor on the up arrow above the amount desired and depress the left mouse button. If the sum of the cards is greater than 9, the first digit is dropped. If a hand's total is greater than 10 then only the last digit is used (e.g. a six and a nine have a value of 5) The bet size can only be changed between games. Use the Player button to place your bet on the Player's hand. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. The value of a hand is calculated by adding up the value of the cards. Ace cards have a value of one. All other card values are treated as they appear.
