Baccarat is a card game that is dealt from a shoe that holds 6 to 8 decks in
most casinos. It is
played with a single standard deck of 52 cards. Place your bet(s) on the table in the area labeled Player, Tie, Banker. If the sum of the cards is greater than 9, the first digit is dropped. In the event of a "Tie", the bet is a push and the "Tie" bet is paid. If the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker are equal to five (5) or less, then the respective hand will be dealt a third card. The objective of the game is to predict which of the two hands (Banker or Player) that are about to be dealt will be closer to having a value of 9. If either the player and /or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9, they both stand. This Rule overrides all other rules. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. The winning Baccarat hand will be the one with a value closest to nine. If you bet on a tie, the payout is eight times the amount you bet. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. All other card values are treated as they appear.
