Baccarat is a card game played with a single deck of cards and is one of the simplest games to play in the casino. The objective of the game is to predict whose hand, the Banker's or the Player's, will be closer to the value of nine. Traditionally, the shoe contains anywhere from six to eight standard 52-card deck without jokers. Two hands of cards are dealt, one for the Player and one for the Banker. Each hand will contain either two or three cards. Each wager placed is treated as a separate wager against the banker. The decks are shuffled each round. You can decide to bet on the Banker's hand winning, the Player's hand winning or the possibility of a tie. If the hand that you bet on wins, you are paid double your bet, unless you bet on a tie. If you bet on a tie, the payout is eight times the amount you bet. Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column. If you bet on a hand, and the hand loses, you lose your bet. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
