The object of baccarat is to obtain a hand with a point total closest to 9. Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. The player and the banker are then each dealt a two-card hand. Two hands of cards are dealt, one to the Player and one to the Banker. Each wager placed is treated as a separate wager against the banker. There are three types of bets: Bank Bets, Player Bets and Push Bets. Once the size of your wager has been determined, you must decide which of three possible bets you want to make before the cards are dealt. Player's Hand Wins: 2x the bet. All other cards are counted at face value. To switch bets from the Player to Bank (or back again) just click the mouse on the desired betting area. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If the hand you bet on wins you will be paid out according to the rules in the Table Limits and payout section.
