In Baccarat two cards are dealt to each of two hands, called the Player Hand and the Bank Hand. Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. When all the cards are dealt the hand closest to 9 wins. If the sum of the cards is greater than 9, the first digit is dropped. The probability of a "Tie" win is 9.5%. If either the player and /or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9, they both stand. This Rule overrides all other rules. Player's Hand Wins: 2x the bet. Aces are worth 1 point. All other cards are counted at face value. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. All other card values are treated as they appear.
