Baccarat is the oldest of all games played in modern casinos. The objective of the game is to predict which of the two hands (Banker or Player) that are about to be dealt will be closer to having a value of 9. If the value of the hand is ten points or more, subtract ten, and the remainder is the baccarat point value of the hand. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. Winning bets placed on the “Banker” pay 1:1, however there is a 5%
commission that the casino takes out. The “Tie” bet pays 9:1 if won. Cards are dealt from a shoe that holds 6 decks of cards. There are three types of bets: Bank Bets, Player Bets and Push Bets. Each hand will contain either two or three cards. Betting focus is indicated by a thin red rectangle. The value of a hand is calculated by adding up the value of the cards. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. Once the winning hand is determined the game is over. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
