In Baccarat two cards are dealt to each of two hands, called the Player Hand and the Bank Hand. It is played with a single standard deck of 52 cards. The hand which is closest to 9 wins. In traditional casinos Baccarat tables are often kept separate from the rest of the casino in a ‘Baccarat Pit. You can also bet on the possibility of a tie. In the event of a "Tie", the bet is a push and the "Tie" bet is paid. Each wager placed is treated as a separate wager against the banker. Winning hands in Baccarat depend on the hand you bet on, and whether that hand wins. The winning Baccarat hand will be the one with a value closest to nine. If you bet on a tie, the payout is eight times the amount you bet. Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column. If you bet on a hand, and the hand loses, you lose your bet. All other card values are treated as they appear.
