The object of baccarat is to obtain a hand with a point total closest to 9. It is played with a single standard deck of 52 cards. Wagers are placed in the Tie, Banker and Player areas shown on the table. When a hand total is larger 9, the first digit is dropped (an 11 would become 1) If the mouse button is held down, the amount will continue to increase until you reach the Bet Maximum set or run out of money. Cards are dealt from a shoe that holds 6 decks of cards. If the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker are equal to five or less, then the respective hand will be dealt a third card. If either the player and /or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9, they both stand. This Rule overrides all other rules. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. Betting focus is indicated by a thin red rectangle. If you bet on a tie, the payout is eight times the amount you bet. To switch bets from the Player to Bank (or back again) just click the mouse on the desired betting area. Once the winning hand is determined the game is over. All other card values are treated as they appear.
