Baccarat is the oldest of modern casino games and has traditionally been the game of the high rollers. In Baccarat the player competes against the banker. Picture cards and 10's have a value of zero, aces are one and all others are their face value. If the hands tie, and you did not bet on a Tie, your bet is returned to you. Two hands of cards are dealt, one for the Player and one for the Banker. Each hand will contain either two or three cards. If the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker are equal to five or less, then the respective hand will be dealt a third card. The first pays if the Bank Hand wins, the second if the Player's Hand does, the last if both hands push or tie. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. Betting focus is indicated by a thin red rectangle. If you bet on a tie, the payout is eight times the amount you bet. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If the hand you bet on wins you will be paid out according to the rules in the Table Limits and payout section.
