The object of baccarat is to obtain a hand with a point total closest to 9. Once the bet is placed, the "Player" and "Banker" are each dealt 2 cards. Tens and face cards have a value of 0 (zero), and all other cards are counted as their face value, Aces having a value of 1. To place a Bet simply position the cursor on the up arrow above the amount desired and depress the left mouse button. A tie that you did not bet on pays back your ante. To reduce the Bet simply follow the same procedure using the down arrow. Winning hands in Baccarat depend on the hand you bet on, and whether that hand wins. Each hand will contain either two or three cards. Player's Hand Wins: 2x the bet. If the hand that you bet on wins, you are paid double your bet, unless you bet on a tie. The value of a hand is calculated by adding up the value of the cards. Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column. If you bet on a hand, and the hand loses, you lose your bet. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
