In Baccarat the player competes against the banker. Bets can only be changed before a new hand is dealt. When a hand total is larger 9, the first digit is dropped (an 11 would become 1) Winning bets placed on the “Banker” pay 1:1, however there is a 5%
commission that the casino takes out. It is often quite large and can have seating for as many as twelve people. Each hand will contain either two or three cards. The winning hand will be the one whose value is closest to nine (9) Banker's Hand Wins: 2x the bet - 5% commission on winnings for the House. You can decide to bet on the Banker's hand winning, the Player's hand winning or the possibility of a tie. If the hand that you bet on wins, you are paid double your bet, unless you bet on a tie. All other cards are counted at face value. Ace cards have a value of one. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If the hand you bet on wins you will be paid out according to the rules in the Table Limits and payout section.
