Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. If the value of the hand is ten points or more, subtract ten, and the remainder is the baccarat point value of the hand. In traditional casinos Baccarat tables are often kept separate from the rest of the casino in a ‘Baccarat Pit. Aces have a value of 1, two through nine are counted at face value and tens and face cards have a value of 0. In certain cases, a third card is dealt to the player or the banker or both (Third Card Rules) To reduce the Bet simply follow the same procedure using the down arrow. Two hands of cards are dealt, one for the Player and one for the Banker. The first pays if the Bank Hand wins, the second if the Player's Hand does, the last if both hands push or tie. Player's Hand Wins: 2x the bet. All other cards are counted at face value. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If the hand you bet on wins you will be paid out according to the rules in the Table Limits and payout section.
