Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. Bets can only be changed before a new hand is dealt. The objective of the game is to predict whose hand, the Banker's or the Player's, will be closer to the value of nine. Once the bet has been placed the two hands will be dealt. If the mouse button is held down, the amount will continue to increase until you reach the Bet Maximum set or run out of money. Baccarat is a card game played with a single deck of cards. There are three types of bets: Bank Bets, Player Bets and Push Bets. If either the player and /or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9, they both stand. This Rule overrides all other rules. Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. Betting focus is indicated by a thin red rectangle. If you bet on a tie, the payout is eight times the amount you bet. To switch bets from the Player to Bank (or back again) just click the mouse on the desired betting area. Once the winning hand is determined the game is over.
