The object of baccarat is to obtain a hand with a point total closest to 9. Baccarat has also become increasingly popular among regular Casino patrons. Tens and face cards have a value of 0 (zero), and all other cards are counted as their face value, Aces having a value of 1. Cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe. Aces have a value of 1, two through nine are counted at face value and tens and face cards have a value of 0. Two hands of cards are dealt, one for the Player and one for the Banker. Each hand will contain either two or three cards. The probability of a "Banker" win is nearly 46%, and the probability of a "Player" win is 44.6%. The winning hand will be the one whose value is closest to nine (9) Face cards and 10s have no value in Baccarat. Aces are worth 1 point. All other cards are counted at face value. If you bet on the Banker's hand, and win, the House charges a 5% commission. Face cards and Tens have no value and therefore do not contribute to the value of the hand. If you do not bet on a tie, and the hands tie, your bet is returned to you.
