Baccarat is a card game that is dealt from a shoe that holds 6 to 8 decks in
most casinos. Once the bet is placed, the "Player" and "Banker" are each dealt 2 cards. Tens and face cards have a value of 0 (zero), and all other cards are counted as their face value, Aces having a value of 1. You can also bet on the possibility of a tie. It is often quite large and can have seating for as many as twelve people. The bet size can only be changed between games. The objective of the game is to predict which of the two hands (Banker or Player) that are about to be dealt will be closer to having a value of 9. If either the player and /or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9, they both stand. This Rule overrides all other rules. The winning Baccarat hand will be the one with a value closest to nine. All other cards are counted at face value. Values that exceed nine are adjusted by removing the tens column. All other card values are treated as they appear.
